Best Co-Production Still Here is a collaboration between David Smit and Emiel Kampen (Prrrpl). David set out three and a half years ago to create a game whose artistic vision would not be lost during the production process. While already possessing the qualities of a senior Artist, he set out to learn how to code his game in Unity. He approached Emiel Kampen in 2016 when they met at the AMAZE Games& arts festival in Berlin. Emiel had just finished his first solo-project 'Should Shoot' and was ready for a new challenge as an independent developer. The two developers share a long-distance developer-relation: David is operating from his home in Berlin while Emiel operates from his hometown Haarlem. The two communicate at least twice a day, sharing screens and files before they once in a while meet either in the Netherlands or Germany.
