Minion March is a 2.5D puzzle game about Vikings, made for touch interfaces in the brand new Unreal 4 engine.
Vikings are a rowdy lot, especially the ones featured in our game. The vikings of the Sun clan and the Moon clan are constantly looking to fight with each other and die in the process. This is because a viking who dies in battle gets his soul sent to Walhalla.
Unfortunately they are not the smartest group of warriors and as such they are liable to walk off cliffs or into spikes. When this happens their soul is lost.
Your job is to collect their souls for Walhalla. By placing devices in the level you have to guide vikings towards each other without killing them.
You can use a catapult to launch vikings over obstacles, or a big stone to block their way and make them turn around.
If you manage to get a good battle going, the second part of your task begins.
The vikings who die after fighting release their soul, which will float upward and out of sight unless you catch it.
Using a net, you have to catch enough of them to pass the level.
Minion March is a game made by 2nd year students in roughly fifteen days, seven of which were spent on a Unity prototype. We decided on using the brand new Unreal 4 engine to expand our ideas for the prototype and refine the design. A lot of love went into this game and we hope you will like it.
